Jon's newest piano book, "A Sunday Afternoon," is a note by note transcription of his popular album released 9 years ago. It is filled with piano arrangements of hymns and medleys that are representative of what an afternoon in Jon's house might sound like.
Jon's most popular hymn arrangement on streaming services is the medley of the song "When I Am Baptized" mixed with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Jon has had countless people request that song over the years, and it is finally here!
The difficulty level of this piano book ranges from intermediate to early advanced.

There are some special songs in here that mean a lot to Jon. In his words:
"Growing up and still to this day, I always tried to make Sunday a bit more reverent. One of the things I always felt invited the Spirit into the house was playing the piano. I started with just playing out of simplified hymn books when I was a child, quickly moved onto the normal hymn books, and then after I had played those through many times, I started making them my own.
Arranging hymns has played a significant role in my career as a musician. I'm asked to play at nearly every special event I go to, whether it's a funeral, wedding, church service for a holiday, and more. And when I am asked, I often try to write a new arrangement for that event. Playing hymns freely and in this way has led to a wonderful collection of over 100 hymns that I've recorded over the years.
It is a tremendous amount of work to transcribe music that was written previously, but I have had so many requests for this one, that the work had to be put in. I have a wonderful partner in Joyce Leong that helps with a lot of the work and I couldn't do it with out her. I hope you enjoy this sacred music!"
