Play - Softly Christmas
You can purchase the piano book here.
The "Softly Christmas" piano album was originally released for the 2018 Christmas season. One year later, the piano book for this album becomes the first sheet music Jon Cheney has ever officially released. While Jon has composed over 100 original songs and recorded even more arrangements, the "Softly Christmas" piano book set a new standard and was the first of many future piano books.
As the title suggests, this piano music is meant to be played softly. This doesn't mean that the music is slow or easy--in fact, it is quite complex and meant for intermediate to advanced pianists in most cases. The music is meant to be played lightly and quickly, but in a way that brings a soft sound of Christmas to any home, performance, or impromptu sit down at the piano with friends.
The "Softly Christmas" album has 13 tracks, and the piano book brings them all to sheet music. Here are the pieces in order:
- Carol of the Bells Goes Major
- Hark! The Herald Angels Sing to Light the World
- Joy to the Little Drummer Boy
- Twinkle, Twinkle, Stars are Gleaming
- Mary’s Lullaby
- Do You Hear What I Hear?
- Snowflakes Falling
- Silent Night
- The First Noel
- Christmas Bells
- O Holy Night
- Picture of Christmas de Lune
- Jingle Bells
