It has a simple and easy-to-learn melody and the repetitive phrase “Listen, Listen” throughout. The inspiration for the song came from President Nelson’s invitation to “Hear Him.”\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn Jon’s words:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI received inspiration for this song while mowing my lawn. I couldn’t get the song out of my head, so I stopped and went inside and wrote it quickly. I’ve had this kind of experience many times. The song was most certainly inspired by the Spirit, and I was simply the one that was blessed to receive it. Because this was a gift from God to me, I wish to pass it on to the world as a gift from me.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA piano-only arrangement of the song was recorded and published on the “Back to Basics” album that is available on all streaming platforms.
